The Foundation recognizes the dedication, effort and sacrifice of the men and women of the Denver Police Department, both sworn and civilian. We believe it is important to recognize and show appreciation for their efforts.

Honor our DPD Heroes

This annual event recognizes officers who are awarded Medals of Honor, Valor, Preservation of Life, Distinguished Service Cross and Purple Hearts as well as the Officer of the Year. The event is hosted by the Denver Police Foundation and is attended by community and business leaders as well as officers and their families.

Denver Police Department – Police Memorial Service

Annually, during Police Week, in partnership with the Denver Police Officers Foundation and Denver Police Museum, the DPF gathers to pay tribute to Denver Police Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Fallen officer families, current sworn and civilian staff, DPD retirees, and City dignitaries gather near at the DPD Memorial each year.
